some of the What we do…
Sometimes you're required to provide a medical certificate as part of your driver licensing application. Your health practitioner may want you to do an occupational therapy assessment to confirm your fitness to drive.
Recommendations may include hand controls, seating, ramps or hoists and safe ways of transporting your wheelchair.
The purpose of professional supervision is to support and improve practice, and to enhance practitioner well-being.
Theoretical models in occupational therapy help professionals understand individuals, their occupations, and factors affecting performance. These models assist in clinical reasoning, decision-making, and intervention planning by identifying strengths, challenges, and needs. They promote evidence-based practice, holistic care, and communication for person-centered care.
“Clinical supervision is an activity that brings skilled supervisors and practitioners together in order to reflect upon their practice.”
The Sensory Profile™ 2 family of assessments provides standardized tools to help evaluate a child's sensory processing patterns in the context of home, school, and community-based activities.
Can be defined as, “a patient-centered process that is based upon behavior change theory and is delivered by health professionals with diverse backgrounds”
